Interventional Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship

Program Director Welcome

Dr. Steve Kim

Welcome to the Interventional Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship at Oklahoma State University Medical Center (OSUMC).

The Interventional Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship is a one-year program and accepts one highly-qualified physician per year. This program is for fellows who have successfully completed a Cardiovascular Medicine fellowship program.

Fellows will develop and demonstrate competence in clinical knowledge, procedural skills, clinical judgement, professionalism and interpersonal skills. Our fellows receive supervised one-on-one training as well as clinical independence and confidence for entry into their own practice upon graduation.

Clinical training takes place at Oklahoma State University Medical Center and Saint Francis Hospital. Didactics include weekly catheterization conferences, book club, journal club, and monthly morbidity and mortality meetings. Cardiology fellows will have research coordinated through OSU Center for Health Sciences and responsibilities in an outpatient continuity clinic.

Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have regarding the fellowship or the application process.

Sincerely,

Steve Kim, D.O.

Program Description

The OSU Interventional Cardiology Medicine Fellowship is a one-year post graduate ACGME accredited medical program. The primary goal of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship is to provide comprehensive training in the diagnosis, care and endovascular treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease. The Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences (OSU-CHS) provides quality training in the field of Interventional Cardiology so that trainees will develop and demonstrate competence in clinical knowledge, procedural skills, clinical judgement, professionalism, and interpersonal skills required as a specialist in Interventional Cardiology. OSU-CHS’s Interventional Cardiology fellows receive supervised one on one interventional training in coronary, peripheral, and structural procedures. They will be cultivated to gain superior clinical skills and confidence for entry into their own practice upon graduation.
