Osteopathic Medical Education Consortium of Oklahoma

The Osteopathic Medical Education Consortium of Oklahoma (OMECO) is a consortium of eight partner institutions whose mission is to support and promote excellence in the continuum of osteopathic medical education in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri.

OMECO develops evaluative tools, curricula and ensures access to learning resources necessary to provide quality postgraduate medical education to interns, residents and fellows so they may become qualified, competent physicians. OMECO is now recognized as an Institutional Sponsor by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for the Teaching Health Center residency programs.

Residency and Fellowship Programs

There are currently 20 residency programs and 7 fellowship programs within OMECO. We maintain residency and fellowship programs at partner institutions in Tulsa, Durant, McAlester, Oklahoma City, Talahina, Ada, Norman and Tahlequah.
