Pediatrics Residency Program

The OSU Pediatric Residency is a three-year program is designed to qualify the resident to sit for the board examination in osteopathic pediatrics. Completion of this program will allow those interested in a fellowship to continue with further training. All areas of pediatrics including general, cardiology, neurology, neonatology, gastroenterology, among others, are included in the curriculum.

How to Apply

Applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) will be evaluated by the Recruitment Committee on a rolling basis once the online portal opens in mid-September.

Interview consideration is given to each applicant once we have received your personal statement, letters of recommendation and board scores (step 1 and step 2 as available). Interview dates will open in September and will be offered through December. Interview dates do fill quickly, so it is recommended to complete your application as soon as possible.

The OSU and OMECO Pediatric Residencies will only be participating in the NRMP match beginning in the 2018-2019 Match Season.

Please note, our programs have obtained ACGME Initial Osteopathic Recognition status and as such will accept candidates from US Osteopathic Medical Schools. MD candidates will be considered with additional Osteopathic Recognition eligibility requirements as outlined on ERAS, including completion of 60 hours of OSU-COM OMM Education, passing CORRE examination and a letter of recommendation from a DO prior to the Match.

“OSU Pediatrics felt like family to me during my audition rotation, and I knew it would be a great fit for me. The program offered the training opportunities I was looking for and a learning environment that emphasized early hands-on learning, autonomy, and close mentoring relationships between attendings and residents. “
