Audition Rotation

Our first year residents rotate through the Emergency Medicine Department, Internal Medicine/Intensive Care Unit, and the Saint Francis Hospital Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which allows them to gain additional exposure and creates a well-rounded physician. All of our residents are certified in the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS) by the end of their second year of residency. They also have an opportunity to obtain DaVinci Robot certification upon graduation. With the opportunity for each PGY-4 resident to be Chief, our program offers leadership mentoring, with the guidance of a strong faculty. While there is a strong emphasis on Research and Quality Improvement projects, a wide variety of topics are covered in our didactics program, which follows the latest CREOG Educational Objectives two-year curriculum, yet also provides exposure in M&M conferences, Wellness, Community Programs, Coding, and Physician Business sense.
